Fast & Furious 10 seems to be stuck in the slow lane for a little longer, as Universal has put the film’s release date back a month, from April 7, 2023 to May 19, 2023.
According to Variety, the picture’s original April date will be taken by an unannounced animated feature from the Shrek Company. Fast 10 from Fast & Furious franchise will now be released in May, smack in the middle of the summer blockbuster movie season. This isn’t the first time the film has been delayed. Fast 10 was meant to be released this year, but it was put back when Fast and Furious 9 was postponed until this summer because to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Another narrative surrounding Fast 10 is Diesel’s continuing battle with Dwayne Johnson, who portrays Luke Hobbs, the Fast flicks’ enemy-turned-friend. Diesel recently told The Rock on Instagram that he “must show up” for Fast 10 and that he wants Johnson to “rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.”
Johnson has already said that he will not be returning for Fast 10 or 11, instead of focusing on the spinoff series Hobbs & Shaw.
F9 boldly throws audiences into the shotgun seat for yet another extremely insane trip filled with thrills, humor, and—in the end—a beautiful message about family.
