Aston Martin’s Entry into F1 with the Aston Martin Valkyrie

When we think of the Aston Martin brand, we think of beauty, magnificence, or James Bond. But never do we think about pure burnt rubber, adrenaline, or even speed. Aston Martin has finally decided to change that with their first entry into the hypercar battle royal by finally revealing the Aston Martin Valkyrie. The fastest air-cooled V12 engine to hit the market.

Aston Martin Valkyrie

The Birth of a New Legend

A name bought from the Norse legends, the Valkyrie’s hybrid powertrain consists of a 6.5 liter, naturally-aspirated, V-12 engine, and an electric motor. This entire power is diverted to the back wheels through the automatic seven-transmission system and boasts a staggering 1000 horsepower while the electric motor provides an extra 160 hp. But the beauty lies in the harmony of the power to weight ratio. The Aston Martin Valkyrie doesn’t even have an ounce of steel inside and is entirely made of carbon fiber, making it the only hypercar to have over 1000 hp, but less than 960 kg in weight. The design features a teardrop shape to make it aerodynamically efficient and as a result, makes it look like the future track racer.

But who is this for?

Hypercars are usually made in limited stocks, which is even more evident for cars with severe levels of research and development. The Aston Martin Valkyrie will be set at a price of three million dollars, and will only see 150 cars in production, the entire carbon fiber body doesn’t come cheap, however, the world has shown a massive interest in this car and Aston Martin has reported that all cars have been sold.
